New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1960. First edition. In the first issue dust jacket, with $4.00 price and sixteen-line blurb to front panel. A Fine copy in very Nearly Fine dust jacket. Top edge stained blue-gray. Contemporary bookplate to upper pastedown. An excellent example of the dust jacket, with just a bit of fading to spine. A very attractive copy of a book that is difficult to find in this condition.

Rabbit, Run was John Updike's second novel, after The Poorhouse Fair (1959), and the first in his famous Rabbit tetralogy. He followed the novel with Rabbit Redux (1971) and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Rabbit Is Rich (1982) and Rabbit at Rest (1990). Updike was one of only four writers to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction more than once, the others being Booth Tarkington, William Faulkner, and Colson Whitehead.
