An unusual and early book in English on Chinese cuisine. Issued simultaneously with a US issue published by E. P. Dutton, this copy retains the fragile and visually striking dust jacket. The first nine chapters are dedicated to Chinese foods and dining habits. From then on the work lists 101 recipes in longhand, mostly with general guidelines and omitting measurements or quantities.
