Hammersmith: Kelmscott Press, 1894. First thus. One of 310 copies on paper (six copies on vellum were also produced). Original full limp vellum binding. Octavo. xii, 197 pp. Printed by William Morris in red and black with a large engraved double-page title and many elaborate initials throughout. Spine titled in gilt. Rubbing and some browning to binding. Original fore-edge ties clipped. Ink ownership signature, dated 1958, to front free endpaper. A Very Good copy, bright and fresh throughout.

This is the second collection of Rossetti's poems issued by the Kelmscott Press, following the 1893 edition of Ballads and Narrative Poems (1893). Sonnets and Lyrical Poems collects Rossetti's sonnet sequence "The House of Life"; his poems on Chatterton, Blake, Coleridge, Keats, and Shelley; his sonnets on art (both his own art and others'); his Italian, French, Latin, and bilingual poems; and fragments and miscellaneous poems (including "Untimely Lost").
