Woolf's thought-provoking essays on the obstacles facing women writers and some necessities for success (money and a room of one's own). Originating in lectures that Woolf gave at two women's colleges in Cambridge, the work has become closely associated with the feminist movement and includes an early discussion of homosexuality.
