The second novel in J.K. Rowling’s unbelievably popular Harry Potter series, the book follows Harry Potter and his friends as they investigate a series of attacks on students at Hogwarts, possibly emanating from the Chamber of Secrets. "The Chamber of Secrets" was, of course, an instant bestseller and won Rowling the British Book Awards Children’s Book of the Year for the second year in a row. Strangely enough, Rowling requested the manuscript back for revisions after delivering it to the publishers, worried that it might not live up to the success of her first book. The book was also adapted into a film in 2002, directed by Chris Columbus, starring Daniel Radcliff and Emma Watson. “Hogwarts is a creation of genius.” (Contemporary Review from The Times Literary Supplement)
