Selected and annotated by Palgrave, the present selection was dedicated by the editor to Emily Lady Tennyson; and the lyrics he chooses are clearly governed by a desire to emphasize feminine beauty and goodness, as well as marital and filial love. To the Queen, A Dream of Fair Women, The May Queen, The Grandmother, and The Miller's Daughter are only a few examples of the lovely lyrics drawn together here. Beautifully bound in striking red morocco. (Item #5147)
